Breaking Bad Movie Heading To Netflix Then AMC


It has been confirmed by Netflix and AMC mutually that the sequel movie to the series has been filming and is on it’s way to Netflix then AMC respectively, It has been known for months that Vince Gilligan and his team whom creatd the series are returning for the film. According to deadline not much has been known about the film. Outside of the fact that it is a sequel that will star Aaron Paul as Jessie Pinkman shortly after the [MAJOR SPOILER HERE stop if you haven’t watched the rest of the series] after the end of the series. However it has not been confirmed if Bryan Cranston who portrayed the amazing Walter White would return in flashbacks or any other sort.

Now another bit of news is that this isn’t the first time Netflix has had working partnership before with AMC distributing shows such as The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad when it was originally airing during the end of the first season in the midst of writers strike of 08’. Breaking Bad was on a bit of a hold before they released season 3, which boosted a bit of their viewership. Gilligan acknowledged the streamer’s contribution in his acceptance speech for the series’ first best drama series Emmy win in 2013. “I think Netflix kept us on the air,” he said back then. “Not only are we standing up here, I don’t think our show would have even lasted beyond Season 2. … It’s a new era in television, and we’ve been very fortunate to reap the benefits.”

A project by the name of Greenbriar — possibly a code name — was listed as starting production in mid-November in Albuquerque, according to the New Mexico Film Office. The logline, reported by the Albuquerque Journal last fall, follows the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. Leading to some speculation that it will continue shortly after the series’ end.
